Blog Flow

P300

It’s great to be back to see my family and friends. And to enjoy NYC great restaurants, movies and a Duxiana bed. But, a part of me is longing to continue on the multi-hour treks which allowed for “active meditation” and what felt like a more natural flow. Thoughts would pop into my mind, stir around for a bit and then, after awareness and reflection, they moved away. No obsessiveness. No forced control. Kinda like clouds moving through an active sky. The seamless, flowing process and the natural “letting go” of thoughts at times transcended me. It was like a “hiker’s high.”

It’s difficult to maintain this flow in daily life, especially in a bustling city like NYC. But, I will incorporate what I can, including meditation, the outdoors and more consistent awareness.

Sometimes the Universe helps you out too. Less than 48 hours after my return, Deepak Chopra held an intimate meditation and Q&A event at Union Square in NYC. I attended and was fortunate to meet Deepak and his son Gotham, whom I’ve been talking with for months about including The Sherpa Path content on their upcoming YouTube channel.

Just gotta keep trekking and let it flow.
