To Everest

I will be going to Mt. Everest in March/April 2012. The trip will take me out of NYC for almost a month.

A couple of the climbers on our Expedition will attempt to reach the Summit. I will climb to Base Camp, which is still quite a achievement at more than 17,300 feet! My purpose is not getting to the Summit.  For me, this is an opportunity to learn more about the Sherpa culture and perspective.  And, I’ll undoubtably learn a bit more about myself, including my own perseverance. I’ll record my observations along the way, including these next several months leading up to the adventure.
