Situation

The expedition to Everest Base Camp that I went on two years ago was not meant to be dangerous.  Although, two of the climbers, Chad and Rob, on my expedition successfully reached the Summit, I did not make an attempt.  The six-eight hours of trekking each day were breathtaking, both because of the altitude and the beauty.  However, there was a moment when I found myself in a dangerous situation.  It happened in an instant. And my Sherpa companions were there for me. One of the amazing characteristics about the Sherpas whom I have met is their calmness during situations that are scary to others.
