More of the App Trail with REI

I leave for Mt. Everest two months from today!

So, I’m trying to get in as many practice hikes as possible.  I went on another section of the wonderous Appalachian Trail. We starting at the Clarence Fahenstock Ranger Station off of Route 301 in NY and hiked for six miles.

This time I went with the REI Outdoor School, lead by two knowledgeable REI guides.  REI just opened an incredible new SoHo store and they organized a “training hike” aimed at people considering hiking the entire AT (a six month ordeal).  Well, that’s another adventure for another time.
